[TEAM MEETING TIME AGAIN LET'S GO PEOPLE. ENE'S GOT A CHART OF WHICH TEAMS HAVE HOW MANY VOTES FOR DEMONSTRATIVE PURPOSES.]

Hey everyone! Let's co-ordinate our votes this time, okay? We've got nine votes on our team between six people. Battler and Aqua don't have any votes, I can cover Battler but somebody else needs to vote for Aqua because I voted for her last round.

And make sure we don't give more than three votes away! I think our best strategy is to give one to team D and two to Team F, any objections?

What about Corrin's own team? Isn't Leo on it? Aren't they all looking out for each other? You must have noticed they're the only team that hasn't lost a single person so far.

I have trust issues when it comes to votes.

Mmhmm, mmhmm, after hearing about what happened the last game I can understand that. But here's the thing. Everyone flinging their votes around at other teams without consulting each other last round nearly got Aqua killed, and I had to change my vote last minute to chain with Maya to save her. I don't begrudge you wanting to protect Corrin, I have people on other teams I want to save too, but if we don't talk to each other before deciding our votes, we're going to kill each other.

So that's why we're talking now, right?

I'm sorry I threw mine at Rohan before asking. I should have talked it through first. I won't make that mistake again. But this is kind of a vote you're gonna have to deal with from me.

...I don't want Aqua nearly dying again, though. Or anyone else in here.

That is exactly why I called this meeting, yes. I want to believe you'll fight to save this team, Aoi, and when Corrin's team needs an extra vote it's fine. But this idea that you can't trust anyone else, that nobody on his team is good enough to vote for him, what happens when his team has more than enough votes for themselves? What happens if you only have one vote, and Corrin doesn't have any? Would you throw away a chance to secure a vote for yourself to save him? It's not just the others I worry about, it's you too. You told me yourself you didn't expect to win many votes yesterday, and lucky for you you did. But you're trapping yourself with this thought. And what if, god forbid, we're a loser team one round and Corrin's team wins? How can you or Niles vote for him then? You need to have some kind of backup.

I wouldn't throw away that chance. He's tried to do that before and we made him not do it. I wouldn't be hypocritical.

I can at least promise that.

[ Sighs. ]

You're right with your points. I'm trapped in my fucking thinking.

[Absolutely believes Aoi would be hypocritical tho?] You need to find some contingency for it. Corrin is his team's heaviest hitter, so it benefits them to have him around, right? And Leo is from the same place as you guys and has the same investment in keeping him safe. Have you talked to anyone from Team D? I mean apart from Beatrice, who of course we all know is terrible.

I guess that Gumshoe guy looks like a nice guy, at least.

And he seems pretty competent at getting votes, he might be a good backup. Should we try and make friends with him to see how reliable he is? [And also make sure you're not isolating yourself out of paranoia.]

[ He talks to plenty of people, they just all don't apparently tend to be on team D. WTF. ]

[Talking to people is not the same as making friends you can trust, and maybe this is the worst place to make friends when everyone keeps dying, but she doesn't want Aoi thinking there's nobody he can rely on if things get tough that's too sad. Ene remembers him just yesterday worrying that he'd be in trouble if he didn't get enough votes, if he makes more friends and finds more trustworthy people that's more to have his back. SHE'S THE MOM FRIEND AND SHE WORRIES OKAY.] Okay. Okay! I think that's everything decided then. Our votes all went fast.

[ It'd help him just enough to know someone's worrying. That alone would be enough to snap him into a new place. He can see it, but he doesn't really believe it that well without the words to back it up. Seeing it is one thing but the mind can talk you out of it without proof. ]

Wait, wait, so what am I doing with my other vote? If I'm letting Corrin take care of himself?

[GOOD LUCK GETTING ENE TO ADMIT TO FEELINGS] Ah, no, I said there wasn't a problem with it this time, remember? Their team still needs one more vote, so it would let Corrin cover his teammates. Not that leaving Beatrice without a vote would be so terrible but we can't guarantee that. We can manage to save everyone important this round.

I'll talk to him, make sure one of his teammates isn't covering him first - that would be disastrous.

Aah, yeah, that'd be bad. Um, if Corrin is safe, do you think... Maybe Haru? She seems like a sweet girl, if we could give her a hand I think she'd appreciate it.

[ Brightens up. ]

I adore Haru. I'd love to take care of her.

[digiteyesed]

[Oh phew!] Yeah? Okay! That's great, after we talk to Corrin we can tell her. Thanks Aoi!

She's a good girl. Has some self confidence issues, but who doesn't?

I don't know what you mean, I'm the best. But you're right, she seems a bit shy, we should help her come out of her shell next game. Make sure she gets some points next time.

With any luck the next game will be something fun. We're good at these social games, so we can definitely help her get a vote.
