Day 2 Spades party

[Once again the team has been gathered, this time in their SWEET RAVE SET which has been locked for privacy.]

Thanks again for meeting team! And to Kokichi for stocking up on supplies, that's very nice.

Looks like we've got votes in spades, good job almost everyone. So lets figure out who's covering who, yeah? Kokichi and I are voting for each other, everyone else make sure you're paired off, and someone make sure to vote for Battler.

We should talk about what to do with our seven extra votes as well. Team F and Team D are in real trouble, we could help them out. I already gave one to Team F, so they need one more, and D still needs three if any of you are feeling charitable. We're likely going to be in a position to send a few people to the hotel, so how do we want to go about that? Anybody seen any volunteers?

I'm a very hard working and generous girl~ Survival will be a peace of cake for us this time round. [She says it lightly but Ene genuinely wants to help people get out of here alive, so she's going to do everything she can to ensure the humane removal of any threats and as many survivors as possible. But then Santa probably already has an idea about that.]

You know, I think the best candidate for the hotel wound be someone completely useless to their team who doesn't deserve death. Like, someone who isn't likely to go around stabbing their siblings or whatever.

Yeah. Family is supposed to be important. And not being stabbed is certainly important.

...But I do think it's at least worth it to ask for volunteers.

Might as well! Hopefully someone might end up getting an extra vote.

It's better to ask for volunteers than to go around judging who's useless or not at this time. We can't be the judge and jury. That's stupid and puts us in a position we don't want to be in.

But if we keep scoring high, then we can decide if that's the position we want.

Of course we'll keep scoring high! Everyone's going to do their best, right? So this is the best plan for now. We don't wanna escalate anything. But we should wait a while before asking, let everyone else sort their votes out first. We don't want to give the power to hotel anyone away.

Yeah. DO it later in the day. Maybe even close to midnight, when people are getting desperate.

We can't wait too long, or we'll just waste the vote entirely.

Maybe about an hour before midnight? We can say we've been sorting out our votes, it will look right if we've already given away half to other teams. So let's do the math here. [Loading up her tablet to count the votes] Aoi, you and Niles are voting for each other, and you're voting for Battler. The other three votes between you went to teams A, D and F. Kokichi and I are voting for each other, and I gave a vote to team F too. So that's one vote left for you Kokichi? Maya gave a vote to team D too. As far as I know that's ten of our fifteen votes, that leaves Maya, Aqua and Kokichi with one vote each, and Ev with two. If Maya, Ev and Aqua round robin their votes then they'll be covered. So we have two votes left to hotel someone. Team A had eight votes to cover themselves with to begin with, so if we've given them one then they have the ability to send someone to the hotel. Team F had six votes, and we've given them two, so they have enough to cover each other and we should let them organise themselves. Team B had nine votes to start with too. So basically, Team A and B have an extra vote, C and F have just enough to save themselves, and D we've given two votes to but they still need one more. We shouldn't give any votes to Team D before they try A or B then. If anyone asks, tell them you've given away all your votes and you'll talk to a team member about it, but direct them to teams A and B. If they really can't secure a vote from them, then we'll take pity, but it's a last resort.

-Ah! Right, sorry, I forgot. Okay, Aoi doesn't have any votes left, and if you've given one away that means we only have one vote left to secure a hotel trip with... We're too fast... What team did you give yours to Kokichi?

[They did need a vote, so he's going with that.]

Ah... Right. Okay, so, that's all the votes D needs. I guess anyone we give our last vote to now will automatically go to the hotel. But wait, if that's everyone's votes accounted for, shouldn't there only be one extra? How are there three, did I miscount? [Totalling the votes up again, no, no that's definitely three extra leftover... huh...

[ Runs off to the prop room and comes back with one of those big ones you roll around on a stand. ]

Okay, good! Thank you Santa! [Ene takes up several coloured markers so she can properly represent the team colours, noting down the the teams and their votes] Okay... So all the votes do add up to 51. They must have miscounted. I hope there's no consequences for that... Now, if we add up who we gave our votes to from other teams... [Noting it down in the margins] ...Alright. So, that's how it is, as well as us teams A and B have one extra vote. So that's three people that can go to the hotel. And we need to make sure it's not one of us.
